Left gastric artery

Looks like

An artery along the small curve of the stomach — the left from the coeliac trunk, the right from the hepatic artery; the two join.

What it does

Supply the stomach along the lesser curvature and the lower gullet.

Keeping it well

A bleeding stomach ulcer can erode them; vomiting blood or black stools is an emergency.
