Celiac artery
Truncus coeliacus · Kmen útrobní (tepna)
Heart & arteries
Looks like
A short thick trunk (coeliac trunk) from the front of the aorta just below the diaphragm, splitting into three.
What it does
Supplies the stomach, liver, spleen, pancreas and upper duodenum.
Keeping it well
Can be pinched by the diaphragm band (median arcuate ligament), causing pain after eating; weight loss with it needs investigation.
