Osseous skeleton of nose
Skeleton nasi osseum · Kostra nosu
Skeleton
Looks like
All the bones that build the nose: the nasal bones and maxilla parts outside, and the septum, conchae and side walls inside.
What it does
Gives the nose its fixed shape and forms the walls of the nasal cavity the air passes through.
Keeping it well
Injured in nose and midface fractures. A crooked bony septum can block breathing and is corrected by septoplasty if it troubles you.
