Bony part of nasal septum
Pars ossea septi nasi · Kostěná část nosní přepážky
Skeleton
Looks like
The back part of the midline wall dividing the nose, made of the vomer and the vertical plate of the ethmoid bone.
What it does
Separates the two nasal passages and supports the cartilage septum in front.
Keeping it well
Bends or spurs here are common; if one side is blocked all the time, a septoplasty can straighten it.
