Skeleton of nasal septum
Skeleton septi nasi · Kostra nosní přepážky
Joints & cartilage
Looks like
The partition dividing the nose into two sides: cartilage at the front, thin bones (vomer and ethmoid plate) behind.
What it does
Supports the nose from within and splits airflow between the two nasal passages.
Keeping it well
A bent septum is very common and usually harmless. Constant one-sided blockage may be fixed by septoplasty.
