Right superior segmental bronchial tree
Arbor bronchialis segmentalis superior dextra · Pravý horní segmentový průduškový strom
Respiratory system
Looks like
The airways of the superior segment of the lower lobe, from segmental bronchus B6 — the first branch pointing straight back.
What it does
Ventilates the top of the lower lobe.
Keeping it well
Because it points backwards, inhaled material flows into it when lying on the back — a classic aspiration site.
