Heart & arteries
Looks like
A thin artery along the palm side of the index finger, on its middle-finger side.
What it does
One of the two arteries feeding the index finger to its tip, next to the digital nerve.
Keeping it well
Finger cuts that bleed and numb one side suggest this artery and nerve are cut; both can be repaired under a microscope.
