Pericallosal artery
Arteria pericallosa · Perikalózní tepna
Heart & arteries
Looks like
The continuation of the anterior cerebral artery, hugging the top of the corpus callosum, the bridge between the two brain halves.
What it does
Supplies the corpus callosum and the inner surface of the frontal and parietal lobes.
Keeping it well
An aneurysm can form where it gives off the callosomarginal artery; a stroke here causes leg weakness and apathy.
