A middle cerebral branch running back along the rear part of the temporal lobe.
What it does
Supplies the back of the temporal lobe, on the dominant side including language comprehension (Wernicke's area).
Keeping it well
Its stroke on the left can cause fluent speech that makes no sense with poor understanding.
