Thyro-epiglottic ligament

Looks like

A short band joining the stalk of the epiglottis to the inside of the thyroid cartilage, just above the vocal folds.

What it does

Anchors the lower end of the epiglottis.

Keeping it well

A landmark in laryngeal surgery and cancer staging.
