Anatom3DCremaster muscle
Musculus cremaster · Sval nadzvedávač varlete
Muscles · male only
Looks like
A thin sheet of muscle loops, split off from the internal oblique, around the spermatic cord and testis.
What it does
Pulls the testis up towards the body in cold or fear, and when the inner thigh is stroked (the cremasteric reflex).
Keeping it well
A missing cremasteric reflex in a boy with a painful testis points to torsion, an emergency.
