Looks like
White cells with a two-lobed nucleus and granules that stain red (eosinophils) or dark blue (basophils); both are few in number.
What it does
Fight parasites and release chemicals in allergic reactions.
Keeping it well
High eosinophils are seen in asthma, allergies and worm infections. A persistently high count needs investigation.
