An oblique band across the back of the wrist, from the lower radius to the wrist bones, mainly the triquetrum.
What it does
Stops the wrist bones sliding off the radius and supports the lunate from behind.
Keeping it well
Injured in wrist sprains and part of carpal instability. Persistent pain after a fall needs specialist review.
