A band across the back of the wrist from the scaphoid to the triquetrum, also called the dorsal intercarpal ligament.
What it does
Steadies the first row of wrist bones and, with the radiocarpal ligament, forms a sideways V that supports the wrist.
Keeping it well
Relevant in wrist instability surgery; its damage can add to scapholunate problems.
