Intermediate bronchus
Bronchus intermedius · Intermediární průduška
Respiratory system
Looks like
A short segment of the right airway, 2–3 cm long, between the upper lobe bronchus and the split into middle and lower lobe bronchi.
What it does
Carries air to the right middle and lower lobes.
Keeping it well
A common place for inhaled foreign bodies to stick; tumours here can block two lobes at once.
