Branches of the sphenopalatine artery running across the roof of the nose and forward along the nasal septum.
What it does
Supply the back and middle of the septum and meet other arteries at the front (Kiesselbach's area).
Keeping it well
Used as a flap to repair the skull base after endoscopic surgery; can cause brisk posterior nosebleeds.
