Intrahepatic biliary tree
Ductus biliferi intrahepatici · Nitrojaterní žlučové cesty
Digestive system
Looks like
The bile ducts inside the liver, from tiny canals between liver cells to the right and left hepatic ducts.
What it does
Collects bile made by the liver and carries it toward the gallbladder and gut.
Keeping it well
Blockage widens these ducts on ultrasound. Yellow skin, dark urine and pale stools need prompt tests; PSC and bile duct cancer affect it.
