Arbor bronchialis segmentalis apicalis sinistra · Levý apikální segmentový průduškový strom
Respiratory system
Looks like
The branching airways of the apical segment, starting from the segmental bronchus B1 and dividing into ever smaller tubes.
What it does
Carries air to and from the apical segment of the upper lobe.
Keeping it well
Its bronchus is identified during bronchoscopy and on CT to locate disease precisely and plan segment removal.
