Posterior tributary of right hepatic biliary tree
Ductus posterior dexter · Zadní přítok pravých jaterních žlučových cest
Digestive system
Looks like
The right posterior bile duct, draining the back sector of the right liver (segments VI and VII), usually curving behind the anterior duct.
What it does
Joins the right anterior duct to form the right hepatic duct.
Keeping it well
In many people it joins the left duct instead — a key variant to know before surgery to avoid cutting it.
