Caudate lobe tributary of left hepatic biliary tree
Ductus lobi caudati sinister · Přítok levých jaterních žlučových cest z ocasatého laloku
Digestive system
Looks like
Small bile ducts from the caudate lobe (segment I), joining the right or left hepatic ducts.
What it does
Drains bile from the caudate lobe.
Keeping it well
Tumours at the duct junction (hilar cholangiocarcinoma) often invade these ducts, so the caudate lobe is frequently removed with them.
