Conjunctiva
Tunica conjunctiva · Spojivka
Sense organs
Looks like
A thin, clear, moist membrane covering the white of the eye and lining the inside of the eyelids.
What it does
Protects the eye surface and helps keep it lubricated.
Keeping it well
Conjunctivitis from viruses or bacteria usually settles; a red eye with pain, light sensitivity or blurred vision is not simple conjunctivitis and needs same-day care.
