Glenoid labrum
Labrum glenoidale · Kloubní pysk jamky lopatky
Joints & cartilage
Looks like
A ring of fibrocartilage around the rim of the shallow shoulder socket, like a rubber lip.
What it does
Deepens the socket and gives attachment to the long biceps tendon and the capsule ligaments.
Keeping it well
Torn in dislocations (Bankart lesion) or throwing sports (SLAP tear). Repeated giving way or catching warrants an MRI arthrogram.
