A tube of synovial lining around the long biceps tendon in its groove at the top of the arm bone, an outpouching of the shoulder joint.
What it does
Lets the biceps tendon slide in the groove.
Keeping it well
Fluid here on ultrasound often reflects shoulder joint problems. Biceps tendinitis gives pain at the front of the shoulder.
