Superior glenohumeral ligament
Ligamentum glenohumerale superius · Horní glenohumerální vaz
Joints & cartilage
Looks like
A thin band on the upper front of the capsule, from the top of the socket to just above the lesser bump of the arm bone.
What it does
Helps hold the hanging arm and forms a sling that keeps the biceps tendon in its groove.
Keeping it well
Injury here can let the biceps tendon slip out of its groove, causing front shoulder pain.
