Superior lobe of right lung
Lobus superior pulmonis dextri · Horní lalok pravé plíce
Respiratory system
Looks like
The upper lobe, filling the top and front of each lung, separated from the lower lobe by the oblique fissure.
What it does
Exchanges oxygen and carbon dioxide; on the left it includes the tongue-like lingula.
Keeping it well
Smoking-related emphysema and many lung cancers affect the upper lobes. A persistent cough, blood in sputum or weight loss needs a chest scan.
