Left inferior oblique
Musculus obliquus inferior sinister · Levý dolní šikmý sval oka
Muscles
Looks like
A thin muscle curving under the eyeball from the front inner floor of the orbit to the back outer side of the eye.
What it does
Rolls the eye outward and lifts it, most when the eye looks toward the nose.
Keeping it well
Powered by the oculomotor nerve. Overaction is a common cause of squint in children; treatment by an eye specialist works best early.
