Suprascapular vein
Vena suprascapularis · Nadlopatková žíla
Veins
Looks like
A vein running across the top of the shoulder blade and along the base of the neck.
What it does
Drains the muscles over the shoulder blade into the external jugular or subclavian vein.
Keeping it well
Rarely a problem; it links with other shoulder veins, forming a detour if the axillary vein is blocked.
