Cervical vertebral column
Columna vertebralis cervicalis · Krční páteř
Skeleton
Looks like
The neck part of the spine: seven small vertebrae (C1–C7) curving forward, the top two specialised for turning and nodding.
What it does
Carries and moves the head and protects the spinal cord and the vertebral arteries.
Keeping it well
After a significant blow or fall, keep the neck still until checked. Neck pain with weakness or numbness in the arms needs a doctor.
