Looks like

A midline area under the front of the corpus callosum, including the thin septum pellucidum and the septal nuclei below it.

What it does

Part of the limbic system: links the hippocampus and hypothalamus, involved in reward, emotion and memory.

Keeping it well

The septum pellucidum is a landmark on scans; its absence or a cyst there can be seen. Nuclear damage is rare.
