A thin sheet of fibres crossing between the two fornices under the back of the corpus callosum.
What it does
Links the hippocampi of the two sides so memory circuits can share information.
Keeping it well
Rarely affected alone; it matters mainly as a landmark in surgery near the third ventricle.
