A narrow channel through the midbrain, a few millimetres wide, joining the third and fourth ventricles.
What it does
Carries cerebrospinal fluid downwards through the brainstem.
Keeping it well
The narrowest point of the fluid pathway; blockage causes hydrocephalus, shown by headache, vomiting and in babies a fast-growing head.
