Anterior wall of left ventricle
Paries anterior ventriculi sinistri · Přední stěna levé komory
Muscles
Looks like
The front wall of the left ventricle, the thick main pumping chamber, lying just behind the breastbone.
What it does
Squeezes with the rest of the left ventricle to pump blood out to the whole body.
Keeping it well
Fed mainly by the left anterior descending artery; a blockage causes a large heart attack. Chest pain over 15 minutes: call an ambulance.
