Small arteries on the underside of the temporal lobe, the last branches of the lateral occipital artery from the posterior cerebral artery.
What it does
Supply the back part of the underside of the temporal lobe, near the areas that recognise faces and objects.
Keeping it well
Blocked in some posterior cerebral strokes. Sudden loss of part of vision or trouble recognising faces is an emergency.
