Anterior leaflet of tricuspid valve
Cuspis anterior valvae tricuspidalis · Přední cíp trojcípé chlopně
Heart & arteries
Looks like
The largest of the three thin flaps of the valve between the right atrium and right ventricle.
What it does
Closes with the others when the ventricle squeezes, so blood goes to the lungs, not back.
Keeping it well
Leaks when the right ventricle stretches, e.g. from lung disease; swollen legs and neck veins may follow.
