Right atrium
Atrium dextrum · Pravá síň
Veins
Looks like
A thin-walled chamber taking blood in from the two great veins, with the pacemaker in its wall.
What it does
Collects blood from the body and hands it to the right ventricle.
Keeping it well
Alcohol in moderation and treated sleep apnoea; this is where atrial flutter circles; fibrillation involves both atria.
