Right ventricle
Ventriculus dexter · Pravá komora
Veins
Looks like
A thin, crescent-shaped pump wrapped round the thicker left one.
What it does
Pushes blood the short way — into the lungs, at a fifth of the pressure the left side makes.
Keeping it well
Treat lung disease and sleep apnoea; long-standing lung pressure is what wears this chamber out.
