Anterior division of renal artery
Ramus anterior arteriae renalis · Přední větev ledvinné tepny
Heart & arteries
Looks like
The larger front branch of the renal artery, passing in front of the renal pelvis.
What it does
Gives the segmental arteries to the top, upper front, lower front and bottom of the kidney.
Keeping it well
Segmental arteries have no cross-links, so blocking one kills that wedge of kidney (infarct).
