Right side of heart
Latus dextrum cordis · Pravá strana srdce
Heart & arteries
Looks like
One half of the heart: the right side (right atrium and ventricle) or the left side (left atrium and ventricle), divided by a wall.
What it does
The right side pumps used blood to the lungs; the left side pumps oxygen-rich blood to the body.
Keeping it well
Left-sided failure causes breathlessness; right-sided failure causes swollen legs and belly. Both need a doctor and heart ultrasound.
